This press was designed and built new by Kobe Steel Corp. in 1978. It is a Pull-Down type Open Die Hydraulic Forging Press.
The Oil Hydraulic Drive system generates pressure of 315 bar.
The tonnage rating by Kobe Steel is 4,000 metric tons.
It is equipped with a hydraulic system consisting of seven (7) 350kW (470hp) pumps which generates 315 bar (4,570psi).
